This example, I have decided to rescue the rhino and put him back where he belongs. The rhino was extracted from the picture on the left into the landscape on the right. The stones below the rhino were color corrected to match the stones in the landscape photo.

Poor David. He seems so lonely on that pedestal with all of those obnoxious tourists snapping pictures of him in his birthday suit. I decided to fix him up with a date. In this example, I cloned David out of the original photo and found a model in a suitable pose to take his place on the pedestal. The model was color corrected to match the marble and then extracted into the foreground of the original photo.

This example shows the before and after effects for basic retouch work in catalog work. The cloth of the bedding has been smoothed out by significantly reducing the wrinkles. The room has also been given a brighter feeling by increasing the amount of light coming through the window. This effect draws more focus back to the product being advertised.

This example shows the before and after result of multiple images of scanned 35mm film that have deteriorated due to time, light, and bacteria. The individual images were seamlessly stitched together in Adobe Photoshop CS, had dust, scratches, and fungus removed, and was color corrected. In addition, the perspective of the vents on the to of the train had to be corrected, repeating buildings were removed from the background, and the scribbles over the name MIN were removed. To date, I have restored over 500 of these trains.
